Our favorite restaurants
Taqueria Orinoco (Roma Norte, Juarez, Condesa)
Great for a quick bite- amazing tacos and very quick service despite the lines. Open late as well!
Contramar (Roma Norte)
Our favorite restaurant in CMDX! The freshest seafood with incredible service. Save room for drinks and dessert. Reservations recommended.
Martinez (Roma Norte)
French cuisine with a great wine selection. Reservations recommended.

Taqueria Gabriel (Juarez)
Another favorite taqueria of ours and they have tequila/mezcal drinks as well. Great for a quick bite or a first stop on a night out.
Madre Cocina Mexicana (Coyoacán)
This was our first meal as an engaged couple. We went here after going to the Frida Kahlo museum and the chilaquiles rellenos here are to die for! Located in Mercado de Coyoacán.
El Cardenal (El Centro)
Great spot for a traditional breakfast/bunch.
Our favorite cafes and bakeries
Maque (Condesa and Juarez)
Great pan dulce selection and tradtional brunch dishes- we love the conchas and tamales
Panadería Rosetta (Roma Norte)
The guava roll is amazing but you can’t go wrong with anything here. If you are lucky to get a seat to stay, they offer great brunch items for dining in as well.
Odette (Condesa)
Incredible croissants - widely known for their seasonal flavors.
Saint (Condesa)
Great selection of pan dulce and also known for their basque cheesecake and sandwiches
Churrería El Moro (Roma Norte, El Centro)
A CMDX churro institution with fresh churros served with a rich chocolate dipping sauce
Our favorite bars
Licorería Limantour (Roma Norte)
One of our favorite bars in the city with a unique offering of cocktails! We have gone without a reservation and gotten lucky but we would recommend making a reservation if possible.
Baltra Bar (Condesa)
Quaint bar less than 5 minutes from the hotel with delicious and interesting cocktails. Reservations recommended or be prepared to wait.
Handshake Speakeasy (Juarez)
Recognized as the best bar in the world for their innovative cocktails. Definitely worth trying but be sure to grab a reservation in advance.
Pata Negra (Juarez)
Great tapas bar for a chill night with a DJ as the night progresses
Departamento (Roma Norte)
Huge bar with a rooftop offering great cocktails and a section for every mood whether you want to hang out or dance. There’s typically a cover so bring cash if you go.
